Pimento Vision was created in October 2008 as the first dedicated full-service AR agency in the UK.
The founding partners Andrew Smith (Creative Director) and Stephen Knight (Managing Director) brought together their joint skills from the world of advertising, media, production, outdoor digital and entertainment to create an agency rooted in marketing best practice.
Pimento Vision’s skill has been to shun the gimmicky media stunt and focus on using the wonders of AR to enrich the relationship customers have with brands. Their work has been at the forefront of the technology, and has broken fresh ground both technically and creatively. They were the first agency to include the ability to upload AR experiences from viewers’ PCs to Facebook (something now common place); they were Total Immersion’s first UK partner; their use of video files in their animation has been ground-breaking – creating wonderful seamless film on Android and iOS devices. Their work for Paramount Transformers achieved over 3.5 million visits during the campaign period and over 400,000 views on YouTube alone.
Pimento Vision has pioneered an approach to Android app development that has allowed large multi-layered files to be compressed into apps that will run beautifully on the latest Android smartphones and tablets.
