IVCA Survey Results
Members Survey 2009
Last year the IVCA commissioned the first independent survey of its membership. As part of our commitment to continuing improvement we repeated the survey this year. The aim of this survey was to invite IVCA stakeholders to tell us what their aims and ambitions are for IVCA membership, to assess the effectiveness of the work we do and to invite comment on what the IVCA should be doing. The results as you will see provide an extremely clear assessment of what the IVCA does well, where improvements are needed and additional activities the membership would like to see undertaken. By tracking back to last year’s survey you are able to monitor our progress and assess the effectiveness of the work we’ve undertaken.
In the past twelve months we have reviewed and refreshed our award programmes making them more relevant to the industry and the solutions IVCA members deliver. We have updated our communication channels to help open a clearer and more accessible dialogue with members. In December we will be launching the IVCA player, a platform which will for the first time showcase award winning work.
We have begun a process of engaging more fully with members with the establishment of a number of advisory groups on Strategy, Events, Education and Training. This process will continue over the coming year.
This year we have also sought to deliver a wider range of events tailored to meet specific needs, these have included low cost seminars, free networking events and commissioner led meetings.
As last year we are making available the complete unedited results as well as the Executive Summary. I fundamentally believe that to develop a fully member focused organisation key ingredients are openness and honesty. I am pleased that we have made progress in the areas which matter most to members but there remain a number of issues for us to face as an organisation.
My thanks to those members who were able to complete the survey. If having seen these results you have any comments or issues you would like to raise, whether you were able to take part or not, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Many thanks also to Woodnewton Associates who once again undertook the survey and evaluation.
