NEW CEO ANNOUNCED
The IVCA has appointed Marco Forgione as its new Chief Executive
Marco Forgione began his career in event management progressing into marketing and communications. Immediately prior to taking up this appointment Marco was Director of Enterprise and Partnerships at Canterbury College which followed from 5 years at The Landscape Institute as Director of Marketing and Communications.
James Humphreys, IVCA Chairman, said;
“I am delighted that Marco, with his background in marketing and enterprise, is taking up the leadership of the IVCA. The IVCA represents an industry characterised by creativity, professionalism and a commitment to providing our clients with communications that help deliver their objectives – whether in business, government or third sector. We have appointed a CEO whose personal qualities and experience reflect the values of our sector.”Marco Forgione said;
“This is a challenging and exciting time to join the IVCA. Against the background of the credit crunch and the uncertainty in global markets it is the role of professional corporate communicators to provide intellectual and practical leadership to enable brands and organisations to communicate effectively. The skills and experience of the IVCA membership will be vital to addressing these global concerns.“I am looking forward to helping the profession define its role in this changing environment and lead the next stage of the IVCA’s development. The IVCA has provided clear leadership in many areas particularly in highlighting ethical and environmental issues with its IVCA Clarion Awards and I look forward to meeting many of the professions’ leaders at the Award Ceremony on Friday 26 September.”
