Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer wanted for Smyle, Hertford

Overview
Smyle are looking for a Video Editor Motion Graphics Designer to join our Video Team based in Hertford.  The jobholder will play a leading role in a small team consisting of 3 full-time staff plus freelance support.

Smyle are the current Eventia UK Agency of the Year with offices in Hertford and Central London.  Our services cover:
- Event Management: from creative concept and strategy to staffing and logistics solutions
- Technical Production: using in-house equipment and teams to cover AV, lighting, set and exhibition design and construction
- Multi-Media: including video production and editing, CGI creation, web design and motion graphics

Our event portfolio covers product launches, experiential activations, conferences, concerts, hospitality experiences and celebratory events.  Our clients include major Corporates and high-profile brands (for example: Intel, Cisco, Blackberry, PGA European Tour (Ryder Cup), BMW UK, Red Bull, Betfair, Abbey Road Studios, BBC Radio 1, ITV, Citroen, Jack Wills and Cartier Polo.

The Role- Edit video/audio content in response to client briefs
- Create motion graphic content and manage freelancers in the creation of content for clients
- Manage the complete post production process within budget and to client satisfaction and deadlines
- Provide creative input in response to client and internal briefs
- Provide creative input for conceptual and pitch purposes
- Liaise with in-house departments to ensure every aspect of content creation runs smoothly; build strong working relationships with other Smyle employees and freelancers to enable this
- Research and implement new/updated products/programs and solutions to ensure Smyle are at the cutting edge with the services/products provided
- Complete all related administrative tasks (for example: log sheets, timesheets)
- Follow the guidelines given in the Company’s Sustainability Policy and all other Company Policies

Requirements- Must have a sound working knowledge of video editing (final Cut Pro) and motion graphics (including After Effects) and CS suite
- Must be creative and keen to learn new skills and techniques
- Great team working skills are essential as is a conscientious approach and really strong attention to detail
- Good storytelling ability is needed to complete video edits
- Needs to be resilient under pressure with the ability to  maintain quality standards when working to tight deadlines and the flexibility to work long hours including some evenings and weekends when necessary
