IVCA Meet the Commissioners Session

We are delighted to invite you and members of your team to the IVCA Meet the Commissioners Session on Monday 24th September at Talk Talk in the heart of Soho between 6pm-8.30pm.

At the last meeting, we heard from senior commissioners from Virgin, The Royal Navy and Action for Children and we will be presenting three more senior commissioners who will be giving details of the commissions that they have undertaken in the last 12 months and crucially, commissions planned for the next year.

The Commissioners Session is hosted by presenter Claire Eades and taking part in the Q&A after the presentations will be IVCA CEO Marco Forgione.

At the end of the session there will be networking time with the commissioners and other production companies, freelancers and commissioners at the event on the night.

Places are limited and early booking is essential for you and your guests. Places are non-refundable but can be transferred to another member of your company by arrangement.

We are delighted to invite you to the IVCA/Briffa IP and Copyright Seminar & Surgery for 2012. This is always one of our most popular seminars of the year and early booking is strongly advised.

The seminar will look at IP and Copyright issues, how to protect yourself and earn from your IP and also will allow you to ask questions of the expert media law team at Briffa. Some of the aspects covered will be:

  • The different types of IP rights and how they affect your business;
  • IP Ownership and freelancers – how to ensure you own the work produced;
  • IP Clearance – what licences do you need and what usages may get you in to trouble;
  • IP and Clients – delivering contracts that help keep clients for the long term and potential compromises you may need to make; and
  • Enforcing rights and litigation – how to take a commercial approach.
