Winners announced at this year's IVCA Awards

The gala evening

The gala evening for the 2008 IVCA Awards celebrated not only the year’s finest achievements in the corporate communications industry with the presentation of 29 Gold Award Winners and 88 Awards in total, but also the 20th anniversary of Europes most prestigious business communication awards. The evening’s top award, The Grand Prix, for the most outstanding of all of the work submitted, went to The Edge Picture Company for the gritty black-humoured production ‘The Grim Reaper’ which was made for the COI / British Army. Gold winner of the Industry Award for Effective Communication was Staffordshire based ST16 with Steamy Windows, a seemingly raunchy viral message with a hard-hitting twist.

New Moon Television, The Edge Picture Company and Pukka Films all won multiple Gold Awards, and a gold award was presented to German company Klaus E Küster Werbeagentur for their production 'True' that came out top in the Corporate Image category. It was also reassuring to see some of the newer members amongst the honours such as Big Time TV, for Born to Rock - Harrods. Regular winners such as The Bank and FITCH Live were also amongst those claiming gold. This years’ award winners, gold, silver and bronze invariably displayed a wealth of new talent that serves well for the industry’s future.

The winners of the awards were announced on the evening of 4th April at the Grosvenor House Hotel, presented by celebrity hosts Punt & Dennis. With almost 900 guests from media, production and commissioner circles and government members, it was a high profile evening further embellished by Cardamom’s stylish production of the event with elegant Parisian theme.

The IVCA Awards is the leading event of its kind in Europe, with entry categories spanning the range of corporate communications industry. With a record number of entries for this year and almost 150 independent judges from across the industry choosing the winners, only through meticulous detail and thorough discussion are the industry’s best rewarded. Direct copies of the Award Winners Plaques are available from the IVCA, simply download the Duplicate Plaque Order Form and return it to the IVCA. If you require amendments to be made to the artwork please make clear on the form the alterations that you require. The manufacturing process takes  between 2-4 weeks.
