On Tuesday 28th October IVCA members gathered at the House of Lords for the prestigious IVCA Fellowship Lunch in the Cholmondeley Room and terrace. Upon arrival the guests took advantage of the good weather to enjoy a champagne reception on the terrace over-looking the Thames. Amongst those guests were the recipients of this year’s Fellowship Awards and Career in Industry Award.
The Lord Watson of Richmond CBE, our host for the lunch, welcomed guests before calling on IVCA Chief Executive, Marco Forgione, to say a few words. Lord Watson then presented the first award.
Donna Young, Head of Environment and Climate Change at BT was awarded the Career in Industry Award for her ongoing and impressive commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Next Stephen Watson presented the first Fellowship Award to ‘the irrepressible, focussed determined, colourful, whirlwind’ Wayne Drew, former Chief Executive of the IVCA. Wayne was presented this award, in Stephen’s words, as ‘interim recognition of his career achievements - with so much more to come.’

Finally, Sir Trevor McDonald OBE took the stage to introduce our final Fellow. Sir Trevor’s kind words of introduction were a beautifully moving tribute to Sir David Frost. Sir David concluded the presentations with some wonderful anecdotes from his long career; he left the stage to a standing ovation.
