IVCA RED and tapeless acquisition seminar to showcase latest technology
The IVCA are delighted to present the latest in their programme of Technology Seminars. Hosted by Prime Focus and supported by Shoot Blue and Blue Tuna, this seminar will allow delegates to see and discuss the latest in RED technology, tapeless acquisition and some of the latest camera technology from Panasonic, Sony and Canon.
The event takes place at Prime Focus on Wednesday 2nd June and will include the opportunity to network with Freelancers, Production Companies, Commissioners and the IVCA. Guests may arrive from 6pm for a 6.30pm start. The seminar is expected to end at around 8pm with drinks and nibbles until 8.30pm.
The cost is £25 exc vat for Members and £75 exc vat for non-members of the IVCA.

- Tapeless acquisition – the options (RED, P2, EX, Digital SLR shooting); cameras and lenses – come and have a look at the latest kit – we’ll also have an offline system set-up to show you best practices for managing and importing (and exporting) tapeless data.
- Managing data projects during the shoot – working with Raw R3d and Quicktime files.
- Post Production work-flows – Avid and FinalCut Pro routes – the software options; the advantages and disadvantages.
- Creative finishing using data – transcoding, grading, online and delivery.
- Budgeting for Red and tapeless production - cost comparisons versus high/standard definition tape shoots and post production.
