Events
There are four types of events run by IVCA for members and non-members alike:
- Conferences
- Award Schemes
- Seminars
- Special Events
Conferences
The Essential Communications Conference is an annual event that focuses on the latest developments in the communication of CSR, Sustainable Development and Social Inclusion.
MAPCOM the UK’s leading conference for clients and producers creating corporate and public sector communications strategy, products and services, which is also an annual event.
Award Schemes
The IVCA Awards are recognised internationally as marks of excellence for effective business and public sector communications in video, live events, interactive media projects, business television and websites. Winning an IVCA Award really matters, as it can bring enhanced profile and substantial business benefits. The Awards set a standard of excellence and introduce clients to programmes and projects which have made a significant impact on business. There is no higher accolade for creativity, originality, production expertise and sheer effectiveness.
The Clarion Awards are not-for-profit and recognise best practice in communicating the importance of CSR, sustainable development, social inclusion and ethical debate, whatever the media platform used. As such, they make a unique contribution to both business and society, by identifying the role of the communicator in encouraging an ethical culture, and fostering higher levels of engagement with key social or environmental issues. The Awards were launched at Parliament in 2003 and received cross party political support. They were endorsed by senior communicators, leading business people and CSR specialists. Initially entries were restricted to corporate media. However, to acknowledge media convergence, in 2005, the Clarion Awards became open to a broader constituency including mainstream film, television, radio and performing arts. This eclectic mix proved to be a great success.
LiveCom is an Award Scheme for the finest international live events and experiences, developed with the support of UK Trade & Investment to recognise excellence in overseas trade by UK producers.
