Grosvenor Vision’s powerful short cinema film and 15 minute educational

designed to show the modern Royal Navy’s Maritime Security Operations
and how this compares to its policing role 200 years ago, which helped
secure the end of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

A creatively brilliant and challenging series in which writers such as
Philip Palmer, Stewart Lee, Sarah Daniels, Rebecca Lenkiewicz and Colin
Teevan create a fictional response to the week's news. Subjects as
immediate and diverse as climate change and the lives of ordinary
people caught up in the violence in Gaza City are handled with
sophistication, candour and a refreshing brevity.

This gripping drama, dealing with the very complex and emotive issue of
child murder, has an outstanding central performance from Anna Galvin.
Despite the horror of the subject matter the play handles its theme

acting, writing and direction are all outstanding.

Asians living in a Midland’s city. This well acted series, with its
often provocative storylines, makes a significant contribution to the

A brilliantly written, produced and acted drama, which treats the
emotive subject of paedophilia with humanity and rigour, without in any
way mitigating the horror of such offences. The film is an intelligent
and far-reaching analysis of both the crime and the inadequate social
structures available to deal with offenders.

An incisive and often moving documentary across three continents, that
follows the crusade of the man said to have abolished Britain's trade
in human cargo. Stuart takes a fresh look at the apparent

Champion Award
Winner: Ian Talbot
Ian Talbot is one of the truly great figures of the English stage
and someone who embodies the values central to the Clarion Awards. As
actor, director and impresario, he has brought the best of theatre to
the broadest possible audiences. His Shakespearean repertoire is
formidable, but is as equally at home in Run for Your Wife as he is in
Dr Who. As a Director, his credits are endless. Outside of the theatre
he is renowned for his support of many causes. He teaches at the
Actor’s Centre and chairs both the Equity Trust Fund, and the
Interact-Reading Service. Today’s Champion Award is presented to
acknowledge his outstanding achievements, the opportunities he has
given so many actors, young and old, and his sheer and consummate
professionalism.
Winner: Andrew Vickerman
As a leading figure in global business, Andrew Vickerman has made a
major and profound contribution to corporate social responsibility and
sustainable development. As a highly regarded development economist and
academic he has also worked as an economic advisor to government and as
a consultant for the World Bank and United Nations agencies. Central to
his achievements has been his natural ability as a communicator which
has made his vision for sustainable development both engaging
intellectually rigorous. He receives the IVCA Champion Award for his
mission, his commitment and his outstanding use of communications,
produced by some of the UK’s leading companies, to make real his vision
of a better society.
Winner: Hélène Alexander
This Champion Award is presented to Hélèna Alexander for a
lifetime’s dedication to research, conservation, education, and in
particular making accessible to a broad public, understanding of an
important art form. She has used communications to extend the reach and
impact of her curatorship and to provide true access to a world status
collection of great beauty, importance and cultural significance.
Universally respected and admired for her work, her generosity and her
humanity. As such she is a true, ‘keeper of the flame’.
