How to enter the Clarion Awards

Entering the IVCA Clarion Awards® couldn't be easier...

Entry deadline now extended!

The 8th annual awards for communications on the subjects of CSR, diversity, sustainability, community development, ethical, health or welfare issues via:

  • corporate communications
  • public sector communications
  • charity and social enterprise organisations

All entries into the 2010 IVCA Clarion Awards should be submitted via the online entry platform.

Projects entered should either be on-going or have a specific relevance to the period January 2009 to June 2010. The deadline for submissions has been extended to Friday 30th July.

Categories

For categories 1-10, awards will be made for each of the following sectors:

  • Corporate Communications
  • Public Sector Communications
  • Charity and Social Enterprise organisations
  1. Advertising and Promotional - For brand building campaigns, advertising and promotional materials, disseminated on any medium.
  2. Strategic Communications - For the use of media delivering either an internal or external integrated communication strategy that could use a range of communication products and platforms.
  3. Video - A singular piece of commissioned film.
  4. Interactive - For campaigns in which members of the target audience are required to participate. These could include both digital and non-digital elements.
  5. Website - For a website or digital platform created to promote or support the key messages of a company, campaign or cause.
  6. Viral - For a viral campaign created to promote or support the key messages of a company, campaign or cause.
  7. Printed Material - For a magazine, newspaper, brochure or leaflet produced for an internal or external audience.
  8. Live Events - For an internal or external event.
  9. Consultation - For a programme of engagement with internal or external audiences with the purpose of establishing action plans and policies.
  10. Experiential Campaign - For live immersive campaigns which seek to connect audiences to the company, campaign or cause being promoted.
  11. Television - For broadcast television programmes or series which promote or acknowledge, CSR, diversity, sustainability, community development, ethical, health or welfare issues.
  12. Radio - For broadcast radio programmes or series which promote or acknowledge CSR, diversity, sustainability, community development, ethical, health or welfare issues.
  13. IVCA Chairman’s Award - IVCA Chairman’s Award is presented to an entry which is deemed to merit particular recognition of its achievement. This award cannot be directly entered.
  14. IVCA Champion’s Award - IVCA Champion Awards are presented to individuals, companies or agencies for outstanding contributions to the communication of CSR, diversity, sustainability, community development, ethical, health or welfare issues. This Award cannot be entered directly, but nominations, free of charge, should be sent to the IVCA.

Cost of Entry

  • £100+vat for IVCA Members
  • £120+vat for Charities and Not-for-Profit organisations
  • £150+vat for Non-Members

Entries are charged per project, per category.

Entry Rules

  1. The closing date for the 2010 competition is 3pm on Friday 30 July 2010. The IVCA has the right to refuse late entries.
  2. All entries into categories 1-10 must have been originally produced for non-broadcast use.
  3. Projects entered should either be on-going or have a specific relevance to the period January 2009 to June 2010.
  4. Entries must either be in English, subtitled in English or accompanied by a translation of the script in English.
  5. Responsibility for the technical quality of the film lies with the entrant.
  6. Websites and online entries will require a full URL address and any necessary usernames and passwords.
  7. Additional materials that cannot be supplied digitally should be clearly labelled with the project title and category for which it is being entered. Please send additional materials directly to the IVCA marked “IVCA Clarion Awards 2010”.
  8. Any materials uncollected by the end of October 2010 will be recycled. Collection must be arranged by the entrant.
  9. Material for award-winning entries will be kept by the IVCA for use at IVCA events, screenings and on the IVCA Player.
  10. Projects may be entered into more than one category.
  11. Responsibility for entering the correct category lies solely with the entrant.
  12. The judges will disqualify an entry if insufficient or incorrect information is given on the form. Defective material will automatically be disqualified.
